The Chelsea Preparatory School’s Arts Festival

The Chelsea Preparatory School’s Arts Festival takes place on the 9th of June 2012. “This annual event showcases dance, music, drama and fine arts performed and created by the children”, explains co-ordinator of the Cultural Department, Mrs. Gillian Atkinson.

The festival is open to the public and all are invited to spend a day at the school and enjoy a line up of fun art, music and drama, supporting and encouraging our future talent.

The school will also host the Kwa-Zulu Natal Youth Orchestra who will be opening the event, followed by John van de Ruit, author of the Spud series, who will be giving a brief discussion followed by a book signing.

I heart Market” will be running throughout the morning and will display even more of Durban’s fine arts and crafts as well as an array of refreshment stalls to chose from.

The Festival takes place at Chelsea Preparatory School, 30 Chelsea Drive, Durban North and will run from 9am until 1.30pm. For more information you can visit the Chelsea Preparatory School website, call them on 031 581 7660 or email to chelsea@cdsp.co.za
