What originally started out as a relatively small fun walk, Durban's favourite family event, the Discovery East Coast Radio Big Walk as evolved into one of the most celebrated events on KZN's calender. Drawing huge volumes of eager participents who can chose from a 5km, 10km, 15km or 20km walk through Durban.
Now in its 9th year the walk has grown from the mere 1 800 people who participated in 2004 to a record breaking 23 804 entries received this year. Young and old, people of varied back rounds enjoying a day out.
The four routes will all start from uShaka Marine World and finish at People's Park at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. This is the first year the walk ends at the Stadium, which promises to be jam packed with food and refreshment stalls, a kiddies play area and live entertainment. Make a day of it with family and friends.
Registration takes place at Moses Mabhida Stadium over the next three days in the underground parking.
