The Oyster Box is thrilled to have Beauty Ramapelepele aka Ben Voss in Bend It Like Beauty as its opening comedy gambit for the first of its Comedy & Curry Evenings,” says Oyster Box General Manager, Wayne Coetzer.
“The hotel’s incredible Curry Buffet brings diners from far and wide, so we decided to add even more spice to the offering by throwing in some truly South African comedy. Comic sensation Ben Voss, with his razor-sharp, motor mouth alter – ego Beauty Ramapelepele, is one of Durban’s most popular performers, so was a natural choice to kick-off with.”
The show takes place on the 13th September 2012 and tickets cost R350 which include the hour-long show as well as a three-course menu which includes snack starter platters, the extensive Curry Buffet , with a selection of meat, vegetarian, chicken and fish options with traditional home-made condiments and breads and a Trio of Kulfi dessert.
Funny, fiery and fresh, Bend It Like Beauty has played in London for a three week season and has toured South Africa, taking in Durban, Johannesburg, Cape Town, Pretoria, and The National Arts Festival in Grahamstown where Bend it Like Beauty won and Ovation Award for Best Comedy
