Mkhuhla Cancer Care Home – Relay for Life

The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) invites the community at large to participate in the next Run for Life which will be held at Glenwood Boys High School on Saturday 25 August 2012 from 6pm until 6am.

Relay for Life was first started by Dr Gordy Klatt in the USA. Since the inception of RFL in 1985, with an aim of showing that one person can make a different, the cause has grown tremendously and is now hosted in over 21 countries around the world.

Local businesses, families, friends, associates, church groups, sports clubs, schools, activity groups and cancer survivors and patients are invited to enter teams of 10 and 15 members for a nominal cost of R500, 00 per team. Cancer survivors are also honoured and on this special evening, and you are requested to reach out to the survivors within your community and invite them to join us in this evening of celebration of hope.

This will be an event to remember radio and television personalities, TV coverage, live bands, health tips, blood pressure testing, and much, much more to keep you entertained whilst you walk around the field to show support for those who are affected by cancer.
