Top surfers from around the world will join local surfer, Jordy Smith for the second edition of the Red Bull Nightshift on Saturday, 30th June. The event, held at night at Durban’s North Beach under floodlights, proves to be the most anticipated event on the local surfing calendar.
Current ASP 4th ranked surfer Adriano De Souza from Sao Paulo, Brazil and 26th ranked Kolohe Andino from San Clemente, Californa will join Jordy and other South African surfers such as Rudy Palmboom, Travis Logie, David Weare, Dan Redman and Ricky Basnett. The event will showcase the surfers performing groundbreaking and innovative aerial moves in the North Beach arena. Expect to see these guys get towed off into the waves to pull of some massive aerials in the night sky.
Local bands Shadowclub and City Bowl Mizers will be performing after the surfing to entertain spectators for a party on the beach and the after party will be held at Joe Kools.
