The Winston Pub, 30 years old, is hosting a worthwhile event for the first time in the last several weeks. Since the closing of Burn 2 weeks ago, Durban lacks a home for the alternative hardcore / metal scenes.
Friday, 20 April, The Winston opens its hearts to metalcore fans and card holders (Their first card machine in 30 years). Though it must be noted that this is not a music event for everyone.
The marketing of this event and its subsequent response has been positive and the event should be well attended and enjoyable.
There is also a drink special: R4 selected shooters.
Despite starting the event at 17h30, the first band only starts playing at 20h00.
