In this day and age we are all acutely aware of the impact that we as humans have had on Planet Earth. This realisation has given birth to a new movement. The Green movement. It seems we all want to be a little Green.
The Corner Café, in Glenwood, is one such establishment. Owner, Judd Campbell is passionate about reducing the impact that the running of a restaurant can have on the environment. Whether by using organic ingredients, banishing plastic, sourcing foods locally or by using sun powered ovens, the campaign is simple. Re-use, recycle and love our Planet.
The menu is short and simple consisting of breakfasts, soups, salads, and sandwiches. There is something for everyone including mouth-watering vegetarian options. Daily specials keep things interesting and include healthy wraps and fruit juice mixes. For those with a sweet tooth the home made biscuits and cakes are not to be missed.
You can also enjoy a variety of guest musicians and artists who regularly perform or display their art at the venue. It’s a lifestyle, and the people of Durban are living it up.
The Corner Café is situated at 197 Brand Road and is open Monday to Saturday, 7am until 5pm. For more information visit the website or call 031 201 0219.
