RNYC’s Lighthouse to Lighthouse Race

RNYC Lighthouse to Lighthouse Race

If you’re keen for a family outing of fun, sun and sailing, head to the Royal Natal Yacht Club (RNYC) for the annual Lighthouse to Lighthouse Offshore Race this Sunday, 14th April. Starting from 09h00 from uShaka Marine World Beach, the starting horn will see a single set off for two yacht divisions. The first route with faster boats will see competitors rounding the Umhlanga Lighthouse in the North and the Cooper Lighthouse in the South. This route will see the teams pit their prowess against each other as there is no set route other than rounding the markers, and they will have to assess conditions and make spur of the moment decisions. The second route, for the cruisers, will have a set route setting sail towards Umhlanga
