Modern day adventurers Barry Armitage and Joe Dawson are at it again – for those not familiar with The Ride and the two crazy chaps behind this adventurous lifestyle dream… here is a bit of background. The Ride started with a naive statement over a Christmas party drink, “I’ll ride my horses (from Kwa Zulu Natal) to Cape Town”. Eighteen months later, brother-in-laws, Barry and Joe arrived in Grahamstown having retraced the hoof prints of Dick Kings legendary 950 km ride from Durban.
